Alice has three new publications just coming out. First is her article in the journal Math Horizons, published by the Mathematical Association of America. The article is called “Word Shapes and Rhymescapes: Translating Translation Symmetry into Music and Poetry.”
Second, two of her poems are included in Untying the Apron: Daughters Remember Mothers of the 1950s. The anthology, edited by Lorri Nielsen Glenn and published by Guernica Editions, unties the stereotype of the wasp-waisted and dutiful women tied to the kitchen.
Third, Leaf Press is releasing Poems from Planet Earth, a round-up of poems from readers at the internationally renowned Planet Earth Poetry reading series in Victoria B.C. Along with Alice, contributors include Jan Zwicky, Kate Braid, Goran Simic and Pat Lane, along with work by more than a hundred others.
